Patience . . . But Ready For Spring

Can Spring just come on and get here already?

“The progress of the intellect is to the clearer vision of causes, which neglects surface differences.  To the poet, the philosopher, the saint, all things are friendly and sacred, all events profitable, all days holy, all [persons] divine.”

  1. Should be “all things are friendly and sacred” not “scared”. It didn’t make sense, so I looked it up and was happy that I did. Ralph Waldo Emerson is so inspirational. I am really enjoying reading his quotes.

  2. It can work the other way. Here in Florida by late August, Alie is tired of the heat, anxious for cool weather and goes into what I refer to as her “tropical depression.”

  3. A wonderful image and quotation – especially on this frigid day in Toronto. Shasta daisies were among my late grandmother’s favourite flowers; she always had them in her garden. Thanks for bringing back some wonderful memories, Brett.

  4. This was a very special message from Ralph Waldo Emerson. I do think that higher level thinking goes beyond oneself. I like the idea of helping others and supporting causes. Thanks, Brett for the spring or summer photograph. Around here pussy willows + forsythia bushes, crocuses, daffodils and spring beauties mean spring. 🙂

  5. Hey Brett, I am glad you’re probably enjoying Spring now! I am moving to Vancouver (so a bit away from you) in July and am glad I am going then as the Summer will be clinging on! I live just outside London UK at the moment, so know for a fact the winter in Van can be pretty darn cold.. even more so for you! Hope you’re enjoying it. I’ve given you a follow, cheers, em x
