THESE ARE FABULOUS! OFF TO CHECK OUT ROUND 1 🙂
Thanks!
love these shots!
Katherine, thanks!
Lovely photos. Thanks for sharing.
Diane, thanks!
I love these photos. I haven’t been to the Maritimes, have always wanted to go, and want to go even more now!
You would have a wonderful time there I’m sure! Lots of amazing scenery and very friendly people!
These pictures take my breath away! I’ve been to Nova Scotia, and I love it! Your photography makes me want to tour the whole country.
Deborah, thanks — Nova Scotia is beautiful! There’s lots more across Canada that I need to see as well.
Beautiful Brett. I think our country may to have to adopt you. Dual citizenship maybe?
Thanks so much! I’m happy to be in some sense at least an “honorary” Canadian.
I’m ready to go visit them all, because your photos make them all look so inviting!
And even though this time of the year is cold in the Maritimes it’s still a good bit warmer than in Yellowknife!
Reblogged this on Yoh! WTF? and commented:
Yoh! WTF? Whether Canadian or not … you will fall in love with Canada because of these pics.
Just love all these beautiful barns
Thanks, Barb!
Really beautiful pictures. Love how charming each appears…
My wife and I are in the midst of renovating an old farm stead, built in the early part of the 1800’s;
so we can appreciate these photographs.
Thanks! I’m sure your renovation project, while a labor of love, is quite an undertaking. Best of luck with it and I hope you’ll post some related pictures on your blog as you progress through the effort.
Thank you so much sir.
Yes, I will begin posting some before and after pictures in the near future; excellent idea!
Thank you for visiting my blog ! I like your photos very much. They are well taken, polished but real, without any of the overlay of colors and effects that often ruins what might have been a good image.
Vera, thanks!
you capture Canada beautifully. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting Canada and I absolutely loved it!
Olga, thanks!

What a great series of photos. Beautifully captured!
Hard not to like a good old barn!
Beautiful shots. Love old wooden buildings, but add the water view and voila’, perfection!
Are you of Canadian heritage? When did you first fall for the place? Bet you’ll retire there! 😉
Eliza, thanks so much! I agree about an old wooden barns with water as a backdrop. There are many of such settings in Atlantic Canada. I’m a ways from retirement yet, but I’ll admit the thought of retreating to Canada has crossed my mind. All the best, Brett
Hi Brett: Great Blog! Also a lover of Canada and have traveled there extensively. I also am a lover of barns, and will eventually post some images. Thanks for visiting me on http://dkatiepowellart.me/ (I have two blogs, whcih I bet you do too.)
Katie, thanks so much! Barns are great subjects for photography and other visual media. Your artwork is terrific, by the way! Best, Brett
