Thoreau famously admonished one to “simplify, simplify, simplify,” too, in ON WALDEN POND, and that is possibly the first and best step toward realizing “the eternity in every moment”.
Ah, Brett, just touching. Love this photo to float with. I haven’t been to Butchart Garden. Must make a note to visit a friend in Victoria next month. Have a great week. Perpetua.
Hi Brett,
Would you be willing to have your beautiful photo ” Floating Fall Leaves, Butchart Gardens, Victoria, B.C.” inspire a traditionally hooked rug? Please let me know, thank you.
Thanks for your message and kind words. I’m very open to whatever inspiration others might take from my photographs. So, yes, that would be wonderful by me. Textile art is fascinating, especially because it has a functional aspect. I looked at the gallery on your site and that’s some amazing rug work!

Very good words of advice. Thanks for sharing that.
I join Brett and say thank you, too!
Have a wonderful weekend,
Dina

😺You’re very welcome! 💖
i loooooove the colourful leaves of fall, of course living in british columbia, we have mostly ever greens, but i still love fall 🙂 really nice shot
I’m probably more partial to the leafier trees, which make a nice contrast to all the evergreens.
