Situated along one of the wide pathways in Toronto’s Distillery District, this tired old Dodge truck from the 1940s exudes character with its highly stylized chrome grill cover brightly shining against varied shades of surrounding rust.
Ah….there’s some history and more than a few stories with that truck! I grew up 2 hours south of Toronto, loved everything about Canada, and happy to be following you—looking forward to your posts!
That’s a great old truck !
It sure is! Saw its share of things in its day!
I have a special fondness for Dodge trucks. This still looks good to me.
It has good bones, as they say.
Reblogged this on Canadian Heritage Connection.
a bit “frayed’ . You might want to link this to WPC subject/tag frayed.
It is a bit frayed.
Nice-looking truck. I like the way it seems almost to be a rust sculpture of itself.
That’s a terrific description!
Dodge is an old classic! I like this old style. In my opinion, this one looks really good. Inside, I would feel like it was 1940s again. Nice piece!
🙂
Yeah. I love that truck. I’ve taken it a few times, because Distillery District is one of my fave places.
A great place to hang out!

What a great truck….my fingers would itch to restore this… 🙂
Definitely is! Restoring it would be quite an undertaking.
