That is a great quote. In this modern new age, instead of taking the freeway, I take the old state highway.
Leland, I’m with you — for me, off the beaten path is preferable.
We followed that advice a time or two in our Jeep Wrangler. Had to back out of a few places for several hundred feet. but oh the memories!
