  1. Indeed around Quebec City and Ste-Anne de Beaupré there were a lot of such motels. Most have disappeared and have been replaced by chain motels like Best Western. They had a lot of character which often went with the owner and his view of hospitality.

  2. I have post cards like that. My mom saved them from the 30’s and 40’s. I love the renderings, and the way that pictures were stylishly colorized.

    Is is still there?

    • There are so many little motels like this that still dot roadsides and taking them all in it’s often hard to believe they used to be top notch accommodations back in their early days. 🙂

  5. I stayed there many times in the 80s. Irene Keet and her husband Forest Keet were the owners.
    Such wonderful people, both gone but deserving of our prayers.
